DETAILS
In this program, you’ll gain a better understanding of how to apply project management concepts and how to make appropriate variations between them. You will learn more advanced project management tasks, such as how to select projects and develop strategies for them, how to create a complex schedule model, and how to identify and assess any risks in the project. You’ll learn about statusing and forecasting, in addition to project recovery concepts, and project termination.
The Mastering Project Management training program provides students with a distinct advantage. It’s not just what you know that determines project success; it’s how you apply that knowledge! This program takes a comprehensive look at some of the most critical skills the advanced practitioner needs to know for initiating, planning, executing, controlling and closing projects. You’ll also gain new knowledge and skills needed to prepare you for the Project Management Professional (PMP) credential or maintaining it with PDUs.
This program combines knowledge of project management scheduling disciplines with the use of the Microsoft Project 2016 software. You’ll advance through Microsoft Project features and functions one step at a time, learning how to plan out your work and keep projects of any level on track using this powerful software. In addition, you will gain confidence and competency through hands-on practice. The Microsoft Project training is designed for beginners through advanced users of Microsoft Project.
If you have exposure to Microsoft Project, you are probably aware that it’s not like any of the other Microsoft suite software. You must have some knowledge of project management in order to use the software effectively.
This program meets or exceeds the educational requirements for those interested in the Project Management Professional (PMP)® certification, PMI Scheduling Professional (PMI-SP ®) certification, and the Managing Projects with Microsoft Project, Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) 74-34 exam. Students who are interested in earning the PMP must schedule and pay for testing independently after they complete the program.
This program/course is a good choice for those looking for project management experience and those aspiring to obtain a credential from PMI. It’s also an excellent choice for existing PMI credential holders looking for an approved activity for continuing certification PDUs. At the end of this course, you’ll be eligible to receive 130 PDUs, which is the equivalent to 130 program hours. You will need to create an account on pmi.org and add this course to your account in order to qualify for 130 PDUs. Please visit pmi.org to learn more about PMI credentials and how they may fit into your continuing education plans. (This course aligns to the PMI Talent Triangle™.)
